I’m Sarah Willocks, an online psychotherapist specialising exclusively in addiction and in supporting the families affected by it. I’m based in Oxfordshire and I work with adults across the UK by secure video.
Both sides of addiction
I understand addiction from both sides. I have twenty years of personal experience with Class A drugs, and professional experience in addiction services. I know how difficult this can be; however, I strongly believe that people can recover and, with support and knowledge, go on to live better lives than before substance use or behavioural addictions.
Qualifications and experience
I have over a decade of clinical experience, including in NHS addiction services, where I worked as a Senior Family Practitioner with families only, and I have lectured in safeguarding at Master’s level. I hold advanced training in family work.
I also spent several years in the charitable sector as a complex needs support worker, supporting people with complex needs and dual diagnosis, where mental health difficulties and substance use often sit side by side.
